KoirTray™ is made of all-natural coconut fiber and natural latex which is 100% biodegradable. It plays a major role in nurseries for replanting and can be used as a bed for sowing seeds to be transplanted later. These trays are also used as a natural, biodegradable modular system for green roofs. These modules are usually square shaped. Unlike traditional modular systems, the coconut fiber decomposes over time and the KoirTray™ module is converted into humus. This eliminates the use of plastic materials for growing and installing green roofs, increasing the sustainability of the green roof system.
